  • The beautiful Rundugai hot springs are located in the middle of the Senya plains, about 35km from Moshi. It is small oasis in the heart of a dry and dusty landscape. Local call this wonder the “Chemka maji Moto “meaning “Boiling Warm Water”.
  • This refers to the way in which the bubbling water emerges from underground. The water has a nice temperature and is Cristal clear, so you can see all the way to the bottom.

  • The Kuringe waterfall is near Moshi, a town close to Arusha. This trip is excellent for travelers who want to see Mount Kilimanjaro up close. On a clear day this place offers an excellent view of Kibo, one of the famous peaks of Kilimanjaro.After approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha you arrive in the beautiful village of Materuni at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

    The village is blessed with good soil and is green all year around. It’s tempting for visions to stop by and learn more about the cultural heritage of the Chagga tribe who live in this area. The village also offers an amazing over Moshi and Kilimanjaro. A local guide will take you on beautiful walk from Materuni to the amazing seventy meters high waterfall. It is the highest in this part of the country with thousands of liter of crystal clear water from the Kilimanjaro glaciers falling down with an amazing force.

    At an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, the path leads trough valleys and tropical rain forest, alternating between splendid views and avocados plant. In route you can state banana beer while the guide tells you about life in Materuni and the diverse nature of this area. Be sure to take a towel with you if you want to cool off from your walk with a refreshing dive into the ice-cold water from the waterfall! Back in the village you will and the day with a coffee roasting demonstration and an accompanying cup of fresh Materuni coffee and local lunch.

What to do in enduiment wildlife management area in Tanzania?

    1. 1. WALKING SAFARI
    • Enduiment wildlife area is great to visit because of its lower coasts. But also amazing for walking safari. In our opinion one of the most exiting ways to explore a National Park in Tanzania. The ‘main’ Walking safari where everybody goes In currently in Arusha, but a walking safari in the enduiment wildlife management area is far more exciting! You’ll explore the conservancy with you own ranger by foot. You’ll get up close with the animals and the rage will explain you all about them.

    2.CAR / JEEP SAFARI

    • Like every other park, you can expore enduiment wildlife management area ( WMA) with A Safari Vehicle. but unlike most other parks, you can explore it with a regular car, without taking a 50/50 chance of your car breaking down regular of course. We have done it many times before.

    3.PIKI PIKI (Motorcycle) SAFARI

    Enduiyment is one of the parks in Tanzania that you can explore on the motorbike. Hop on the back of a local maasai and drive through the amazing and vast landscapes of the park. The bumpy roads, up –close encounters with amazing animals and a soar –ass at the end of the day make this one of the most memorable experiences.

OL DOINYO LENGAI

  • The active Ol Doinyo Lengai lies south of Lake Natron. Ol Doinyo Lengai, the “Mountain of God” is a sacred site for the Maasai who believe that their God Eng’ai dwells within the majestic volcano and causes eruptions and drought when he is displeased. The maasaai honor their God with a long pilgrimage up the mountain to receive his blessing for rain, cattle and children and women who cannot have children are brought to the mountain by elders to receive the blessing for mother hood.
  • Ol doinyo lengai in the only active volcano in the world that produces carbonatite lava. This lava is very thin and has almost the viscosity of water. Recently solidified lava has dark color lake liquid black oil, but then turns white when it comes into contact with moisture.

 

  • The natrocarbonatite lava of this volcano reaches a comparatively low temperature of between 4910C and 590 0C, but it originates from the earth’s mantle. In July 2007, the last major eruption occurred with ash ejection several kilometers high.

 

  • Since the first description by German explorers at the end of the 19th century, the mountain has attracted many climbers, geologists and photographers. However, the volcano is rarely climbed due to its remote location and lack of infrastructure.

 

  • The ascent is technically easy, but very strenuous, as it is pathless and in the upper part it runs in up to 450 C steep lava channels on the western flank of the volcano. The trekking tour leads you to the 2878M high summit, which rises above the dry rift valley. From here you can look out over the hot, barren salt marshes of Lake Natron in the north. The view to the east in dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro.

  • Mto wa mbu is a green oasis in the vast maasai plains.

    Due to the excellent water availability of rice and bananas are even grown here! This is where the tour will start .The tour is a favorite activity of Tanzania specialist. Imagine, surrounded by beautiful nature while driving you come across all kinds of typical African streets after this you will drive through the forest. This tour is on flat relatively flat terrain and is therefore suitable for young and old. On the way we pass several farms, on the way we drive past few banana farms, a brewery and we visit artists and an African school. This activity will take between 1 and 2 hours, if you want to drive a shorter or longer route, This can be indicated at all times.

  • It is possible to undertake this activity by mountain bike. But also with the local means of transport Tuk Tuk or as they call it in Tanzania Bajaji. Imported from India, this 3-wheel motor vehicle is perfect for use on small roads. A maximum of 2 people can sit at the back and anywhere you want to stop you can also indicate this to the guide.

  • At lake Eyasi you have the unique opportunity to meet the Hadzabe trbe.It is one of the few tribes in the world and that still live as the hunters and gathers and you can even accompany the men on the hunt! see how they hunt and kill their prey up close! You will learn a lot about how people used to live and see what skills are required to survive.

     

    The head of the Hadzabe tribe are experts in archery as you will see if you go hunting with them. If you want to go hunting with the Hadzabe tribe, you have to wake up early! The hunt often starts early in the morning, around half past five and lasts about 3 hours.After the hunt you can visit a market where the Hadzabe and Datoga tribe barter with each other. The Hadzabe exchange their captured prey for new arrows [and possibly new bows]

     

    Warning: This activity is not suitable for everyone, you may find the hunt uncomfortable .Remember, however, that these tribes only kills animals to survive and treats nature with great respect. They literally still live the way nature began.

  • Casaantodaspoly  provides living accomodations ,meals and supervision for volunteers for the entirety of their stay in  Tanzania .During the volunteer period, most volunteers stay in our safe and secure home base in maji ya chai.

     

    Casaantodaspoly home base is located in a beautiful area where you can have a great view of Mountain Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, nearly 27km from the Kilimanjaro international Airport. We try to create a ‘’home away from home’’ for volunteers and other visitors to stay at our home base.
